About
~ A HISTORY OF PHANTOM BUFFALO ~
It was the fall of 1998 when what was to become Phantom Buffalo began playing music together as the PONYS. Within a year they were playing in basements and houses for parties at the art school where they met… It was not until 2002 that they got into a recording studio to cut tracks for there debut album “Shishimumu”.
Recorded in 18 hours by Jon Wyman, mastered by David Chepa and released by Nemo Bidstrup’s burgeoning Portland, Maine based record label Time-Lag Records, ” Shishimumu” received the attention of Rough Trade records, who released it in the UK February 2005. (Read the reviews right HERE.)
